The widespread fear of severe acute respiratory syndrome or SARS, is changing peopel's everyday havits.
People think twice now before sharing their glasses at drinking parties or soup at the dinner table.
They avoid contact with colleagues returning from business trips in China or Southeast Asia. Cough in public
and don't be surprised if you get an unfriendly glare.

Don't Soften Drunk Driving Laws

It is somewhat strange that the National Police Agency will ease its efforts to prevent drinking and driving.
We are at a point at which the physical and personal damage caused by drunk drivers has begun to decline
as a direct result of the police's strong enforecement measures. We can only shake our head at its recent
decision, which could reverse all the gains that have been made.
