MAKA (The Minnesota Association for Korean Americans) Scholarship for Korean Americans Graduating from High School in 2013
MAKA is awarding a limited number of scholarships to Minnesota high school seniors of Korean origin/heritage who plan to pursue a higher education. The Committee will review the application materials submitted by each student and award a non-renewable $500-$2000 Scholarship.
These scholarships are an attempt to enhance the positive self-esteem of students of Korean heritage and to encourage their pursuit of a college degree. All interested individuals are encouraged to apply.
Below is the information for scholarships to be awarded to students who are entering their senior year of high school in September 2012, and will be graduating in May or June 2013. Please send us a query using the Contact form if you have any further questions.
Qualifications for this year’s scholarships:
– Minnesota High School Senior in school year 2012-2013
– Citizen or Permanent Resident of the United States
– Korean heritage
– Minimum gradepoint average of 2.5
– Will attend college
– Able to be our guest at the Celebrating Tomorrow Awards Dinner in February, 2013.
